We are delighted to announce that in early October we ordered our third pod & Firecrest will be ready for guests in early 2020
Kirstie & I spent 2017 setting up the Cedarwood camping pod site. Our aim was to create a site where no matter your age you can enjoy the joys of camping without the need for bringing a car full of equipment, or doing the "walk of shame" to a shower & toilet block first thing in the morning or the middle of the night! We have installed a mains water supply, electricity supply & a sewerage treatment system to provide our bespoke pods with all the services required to ensure we have a unique product & give our guests the type of accommodation we would be happy to stay in ourselves. We offer a special holiday experience in the heart of the Lizard peninsula in Cornwall. Our pods are designed with comfort in mind and have heating and an en-suite shower-room as well as kitchenette. Our location offers peaceful surroundings but with local amenities within walking distance, should you choose to ditch the car, including Roskilly's restaurant and local pubs and shop in St Keverne. The nearest beach is a mile away in picturesque Coverack.
Each pod is fitted with an en-suite shower room, kitchenette with microwave, fridge, kettle & toaster, T.V, double bed with storage draw & sofa bed for the kids. All crockery, cutlery, bedding (duvet for the double bed & sleeping bags for the sofa bed) & 2 bath 2 hand & 2 tea-towels are provided at no extra cost.
If any extra bath towels are required these can be provided at a cost of £2.50 per towel)
Please come and join us and take in the delights Cornwall has to offer, all in complete affordable luxury.
We are located half a mile from the village of St Keverne where you will find two pubs, The White Hart & The Three Tuns, a village store, butcher/deli, newsagent, post office & bus route into Helston.
Roskilly's organic ice-cream farm lies 200 metres along the lane, where you can enjoy a walk around the ponds, meadows & woods, visit the animals, or enjoy a meal in the Croust House followed by one of their famous ice creams which are produced on site.
Due to our favourable location there are several beaches within a short drive including Kennack Sands, Kynance Cove, Gunwalloe (Church Cove), Poldhu Cove & Mullion to name a few.
Our nearest beach is in the fishing village of Coverack, kayak's, wind surfing & paddle boards can be hired & the harbour wall is ideal for sitting in the sun enjoying fish & chips from the Lifeboat House restaurant.
Additionally, we are in easy travelling distance of some of Cornwall's most well known coastal resorts such as Porthleven, St Ives, Falmouth & Penzance.
Cedarwood has now been open almost 16 months & we have welcomed over 340 groups of guests.
We have had a wide range of visitors from several different countries including The Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Canada, The USA, France & Singapore as well as the UK. We've welcomed walkers, (lots of short stays whilst walking the South West coast path), we've had bird watchers, astronomers, as well as couples & small families just wanting a beaching holiday or a short break. We have received great reviews & feed back showing an appreciation of what we have created & the great location of the site.
We would like to say thank you to all our guests for visiting us at Cedarwood & we look forward to seeing them & new guests in the future.
